I am not a career politician. Everything I have accomplished — I accomplished without holding elected office. Imagine what I can do in Tallahassee with the power to write laws instead of simply fighting against them.
I am not a career politician.
I have never held elected office.
Everything on this page was accomplished before I ever asked voters to send me to Tallahassee. For nearly 30 years, I have fought for people in courtrooms, communities, nonprofit organizations, local governments, and public meetings. I have represented clients, protected voting rights, exposed government misconduct, helped communities solve problems, and worked to make government more accountable to the people it serves.
I did not wait for a political title to start serving. I have spent my life doing it.
For nearly three decades, I have practiced law as a civil rights and personal injury attorney, representing people facing discrimination, unequal treatment, constitutional violations, and life-changing injuries.
I have spent my career standing up to powerful institutions and fighting for people who needed someone willing to advocate on their behalf.
For nearly 25 years, I have also worked as a voter protection attorney and advocate, helping protect access to the ballot and defending one of our most fundamental rights.
When voting access was threatened, I helped lead the effort to restore Second Sunday early voting and protect Souls to the Polls.
I did not wait for someone else to step forward. I stepped forward myself.
As a private citizen, I exposed a $12 million public grant conflict using public records, persistence, and a commitment to transparency.
No elected office. No subpoena power. No staff. Just facts and accountability.
That work helped bring public attention to serious questions involving public spending and government oversight.
Throughout my career, I have consistently advocated for transparency, ethics, and accountability in public institutions.
I have served on the Florida Elections Commission, the Jacksonville Ethics Commission, and the Better Jacksonville Plan Citizens Oversight Committee because I believe public trust must be earned.
One of the greatest joys of my professional life has been serving as Town Attorney for the Town of White Springs.
In White Springs, I do far more than provide legal opinions. I draft legislation. I advise elected officials. I guide zoning and land-use decisions. I help navigate public records, Sunshine Law issues, economic development projects, community events, and the countless challenges that arise in local government.
I successfully fought efforts by the Florida Legislature to dissolve the town. I helped support redevelopment efforts and long-term planning initiatives designed to strengthen the community's future.
Most importantly, I have earned the trust of the people I serve. When problems arise, they call because they know I will tell them the truth, help them understand the risks, and work to find solutions. That trust is something I never take for granted.
My commitment to service extends beyond the courtroom and town hall.
I have served in leadership roles with nonprofit organizations, community initiatives, and civic institutions throughout Jacksonville.
I have worked alongside residents, faith leaders, advocates, and neighborhood organizations to strengthen communities, expand opportunity, and improve accountability.
From supporting reentry programs for returning citizens to helping Eastside residents fight for stronger protections tied to community investment, I have always believed that public dollars should produce public results.
Communities deserve more than promises. They deserve outcomes.
People often ask why I am running. The answer is simple.
I love this community. I love helping people solve problems. I love bringing people together to find solutions. I love making systems work better for the people who depend on them.
Public service is not something I decided to do when I became a candidate. It is something I have been doing my entire adult life.
Others will talk about what they accomplished while holding office. I am proud of what I have accomplished without one.
Now I am asking for the opportunity to take that same experience, determination, and commitment to service to Tallahassee on behalf of the people of District 13. Imagine what we can accomplish together.
I have already challenged powerful institutions, protected voting rights, fought for government accountability, advocated for working families, defended civil rights, and worked to improve communities across Jacksonville and beyond.
Public service is not new to me.

"My record is not just a list of accomplishments. It is proof that when I say I will fight for you, I mean it."
